Pretty Major Rambling

Hi Lovelies....

Yea so accountability moment: I am not the best blogger. *side eye* I know Captain Obvious right. Well I swear I really want to do better. Last time I fell off I swore it was going to stick, I had intertwined all my social media accounts and I had planned post to carry out each week. Then ...NOTHING ...

All I can say is that life sometimes gets in the way, sometimes everything that you enjoy and bring you peace has to take a back seat to just making it. Life just got in the way and I had to step away again. Thankfully I made it past all that and now I'm getting back to all things good and happy making. I'm officially one of those POSITIVE VIBES ONLY people, like I'm so into peace and peace-making things its crazy. But speaking of that let me tell you about one of my peace-making routines: Quiet Time. Thank you so much to all of y'all for your continued patients with me as I try to get a handle  on this whole blogging thing and I'm so excited to see where this blogging journey will take me now. So recently I moved back home, like all the way home... parents house home (moment of silence for that). Anyways you can now see why I needed peace-making / protecting routines. Not that I'm not grateful and appreciative because I am, incredibly appreciative. But we its just not a good feeling having to go backwards even if it is for a huge leap forward. Now back from my tangent, those of you who have read my older post know how much I love Pinterest, if your new I Love Pinterest. So a few weeks ago, I was somewhere so deeply intertwined in my Pinterest app that I somehow found my way back to a higher power.

Ok, ok I know what your thinking, "Is this going to be one of those super religious-y blogs with a scripture quote for everything and the picture perfect mushy life?" Ehhhhh-no. This ain't that and that ain't me.  I said earlier POSITIVE VIBES ONLY, but this isn't about all the great things going on in my life right now cause baby it's slim pickings right now. This is just about what I do to protect my peace and regain control of my life and happiness after it was lost for so long. 

So as I was saying, I stumbled across a way to not only improve my relationship with God, I also finally found a quick easy way to get myself back to zero. It started with me typing in -bible study- on the Pinterest search, probably a bad idea because all the long and crazy stuff that pops up is a great way to overwhelm yourself and stop all together. There were so many yearly plans or plans that took 30 minutes to an hour, I don't know about y'all but I can't. Not that I can't sit and devote that much time to spirituality, no I just can't have that strict of a timeframe on something that is suppose to be self led. When I came across a monthly plan, it seemed a lot more my speed; then I read a little further and see that its only ten minutes a day... Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner. I was super excited .  The plan that I am using is from a blog called   Sweet Blessings , and I absolutely love it. I started in the middle of the August plan, and its a different scripture each day that you read and copy down into a notebook of some sort.

So today on my Beloved Pinterest (which you can follow by simply clicking to your right -->)I found this awesome infogram *did I make that up* or whatever it's called about your ring an your personality. Obviously my next topic. 

What kind of women are you? Does the ring you think you would like actually match your personality traits? Do you like the ring the picture says you technically should?

I feel like this is kind of like online dating, on paper you should like one thing but when you see what you get for that you change your mind. Or it's like when some one thinks they know whats best for you based off what you told them then when you see what they came up with you realize maybe you don't really like what you thought. 

On the other hand you could just be the perfect little Peggy and know exactly who you are and what you like and be as easy as pie to read. For these lovely individuals YAAYYYY! 

Sadly most of us *raises hand* are super indecisive and don't know what we want or think we do but when we see it are like "So who were you shopping for?!" . 

Alrighty so when it comes to me, I typically am in love with the Princess cut, the Emerald cut, and the Oval cut. These are pretty much the ones that catch my eye, lets dig in and see if they match my 'personality'. 

Princess Cut: Fun loving, Spontaneous, Intelligent 

Emerald Cut: Straight forward, Hard working, Sophisticated

Oval Cut: Artistic, Daring, Trendsetting

Ok not quite sure if I am one of these specific rings I can see certain words from each that fit me. You may feel the same way I mean we aren't all cookie cutter anyway so its more of a get in where you fit in. Honestly the ring description that fits me the best is the heart shape... which I absolutely do not enjoy.

So for this example I guess its just fun to see what you "should like" or what you image you give off by what you actually like. This is a pretty good case for not judging a book by its cover hahaha cause life is full of plot twists.

The next picture is based on your fashion style the type of rings that you would like. For some reason I feel like these are slightly more accurate, you pick your style and mold it. Your personality is something I feel like is stuck with you and doesn't really change. Your style can change.

Alrighty!!! So now that we have casually announced our engagement to the world lol well your immediate world here comes more fun. (Not like this entire process isn't absolutely fun filled...BECAUSE IT IS.) 

*Clears Throat* Disregard my spazz session. 

Click, Click, Click... Photoshoot time honey! I know I know exactly whats going on in your mind. Your standing in front of your fully packed closet thinking you have nothing to wear, no worries I do it all the time. Have no fear your Fairy Bridal Engagement Mother is here. 

So again we have options, similar to my last post it depends on what type of person you are, its all about your taste. Are you Boho, Vintage, Modern, all about Labels or just a comfy type person. Personally I wish I could do several shoots in different outfits and then just pick the winner haha but my money tree is still in its sapling phases so decisions have to be made. Luckily its not my time to shine just yet so all I have to do is give my simple *awesome* opinion. 

Shall we begin. Ok 1st up we have the dressier shoot. I am talking suit jacket, dress pants or slacks and a nice watch for our more masculine counterparts. For the daintier ones in the relationship we are looking at a pretty fancy schamcy dress or full skirt with a blouse and blazer (depending on weather) and heels are a must. The setting here for this type of shoot is somewhere regal in appearance possibly where you are getting married or some place that has meaning to your relationship. This could be an estate with a garden, an old school church with the stained glass windows, something that demands the finer things in your closet. Or for those of us that just like to get dressed up for no reason you could do this outfit in a nice talk grassy field or a rail road yard or in front of a brick building; that way its more about the clothing and not the actual scenery.

Next up we have our beachy... summer/spring attire. This is the outfit I honestly picture a couple walking through a tall, grassy field, not of green grass but that tan grass thats super dry and probably itches and sucks to walk through. Sounds like a bad vision but for the perfect shot I will walk through that tall probably itchy photogenic grass. Our masculine counterpart would be wearing a simple flannel shirt with jeans or shorts if they prefer with boat shoes or chucks. One of the looks pictured below is more of a modern feel and says middle of a summer/spring day walking on the beach. The other look is more vintage and old school, saying more sunset shoot or even a fall shoot... minus the heels. You could wear them if you like but in my vision heels in the grass is a big NONO. 

Lastly we have Comfy Casual. This can be done at any time any season, its more about looking good in the regular something thats not really fancy but you love. The previous look could be considered comfy casual for the summer but thats up to you. For the fall or winter this one is all about sweaters and thermals and layering. The colors would be darker and more neutral here, this isn't about going out and buying something new for your awesome announcement shoot. 

Bottom Line... it's your day! One of many so it's all about you and your future spouses style. These were just a few options or ideas for those in need depending on the season cause not every little girl and boy plans their wedding from the time they can talk. Some of us are clueless some of us are even exposed to all this information and overwhelmed * raises hand*. So no matter which one you are feel free to take a look and take some of my ideas into consideration. 

[Also sorry for the delay on this post I recently got a new puppy and after his first vet visit my baby was sick. People say they are like babies well I had no idea until I got him then I got sick and he got sick and we just had to get that together real quick. Now we are all better so thanks for dealing with the intermission and being patient with me. Thor thanks you as well! ]

This is one of my favorites. All of these pictures are courtesy of my Pinterest account and I recently ran into a couple pictures like the one below. Obviously whenever I am so lucky as to become engaged I just knew that this would be how I would announce it. Well as my luck would have it, whenever I have an idea that would take some time to become a reality someone always... I mean ALWAYS beats me to the punch. Now clearly I found this so its not my original idea but what are the odds that someone I follow on Facebook, went to high school with and use to hang out with would beat me. If it was a stranger stranger then hey that's just a coincidence but Jeez this one was just weird. Congratulations to her though if she happens to read this lol I knew back in high school that you and your new fiance were meant to be. And hey depending on when my time comes I may have to be a bit of a copy cat. AHAHA but as much as I look at all things wedding related I probably will be in love with another idea by then. But copycatting is still not out of the question yet.  

So what if I told you guys that this isn't my first time at the 'Blog Rodeo'.  Yes I have tried

this whole blogging thing once or twice or three times before... and failed.

I didn't fail because of lack of interest on the readers part I failed because I have a short attention span and if its not being waved in my face or written on my hand or on my cell phone as a reminder I forget. Heck even after all that I still forget somethings. But I also thing I didn't

choose the right topics for me, I had always picked something that had my

attention at the time. BIG MISTAKE.

If I'm going to do this blogging business clearly it has to be on something that I think about ALL day ERR day. Oie here in lies another problem, the list of things constantly on my mind isn't long... at all. Unless its something school related (I am currently going for my Master in Physiology), work related, or about my family its pretty much nothing happening up there. Kinda sad, I know and I don't care. 

Any who.... 

It came to me that when I'm bored or trying to clear my mind from all that other junk or some sort of stressor my mind goes to one thing. 

WEDDINGS!!!!!!!

Yes I am one of those women who has a strange (completely logical) OBSESSION with WEDDINGS. Now I know some of you are thinking why is this science nerd obsessed with weddings? Is she married? Is she a wedding planner in her spare time? Is she engaged? 

Heck is she even in a relationship?! Well, well, well, are you in for a treat. 

No Im not married.

No I am not a wedding planner in my spare time. (Although I am sure in another life I would have been if not for my magnetic pull to medicine.)

No I am not engaged, in due time though.

And Yes I am in a relationship, I have a lovely boyfriend that I have known for about 8 going on 9 years. But you'll hear more about our love story later.

I am simply a girl with a crazy sometimes compulsive obsession with all things wedding. When it comes down to it the love between the two people that you can literally feel and see on that day gets me every time. Yes I cry. So rather then continue to drive my loving, understanding boyfriend cray with all my Pinterest finds, random thoughts and color ideas, I will rant to the general public. 

Much better right.
